Sharing posts to X (formerly Twitter) is a powerful way to expand your audience and connect with followers and professionals. With EveryoneSocial, you can share directly to X. In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps to share to X and the available options for optimizing your sharing experience.

What to know

Before sharing to X, here are a few important things to keep in mind:

• X currently supports only link and text posts. Image and video posts are not shareable through EveryoneSocial.
• All posts must be shared immediately. Scheduled posts are not supported for X.
• Custom images cannot override link previews on X. If you attempt to upload a custom image, it will not be shareable to X.
• Suggested share copy does not apply directly to X posts. If you'd like to use suggested share copy, please copy it to your clipboard before starting the share process.
• Engagement data from X is limited. Admins can see only the number of shares to X, available in Shares Analytics.

Sharing Posts to X

You can share posts to X either as an internal post from EveryoneSocial or through an external share.

Share an Internal Post to X

Share posts from EveryoneSocial directly to X by following these steps:

1. Click Share on a published post.
2. Toggle on X.
   • 🔸 It’s best to add share copy in the popup that appears after clicking Share. Any copy added in EveryoneSocial will not transfer.
3. Click Share.
4. A popup for X will appear to initiate the sharing process.
5. Choose where to share the post:
   • Your Timeline: This option allows you to share directly to your main feed.
   • Tag other users if applicable.
6. Add any desired share copy.

Click Post to X.

Share Directly to X Using External Shares

If you prefer to share directly to X without publishing the content in EveryoneSocial, you can use an external share.

🔸 Note: This feature may be disabled by an Admin. Please confirm availability with your program Admin.

Follow these steps to share directly to X:

1. Click Compose > External Share.
2. Toggle on X.
   • 🔸 As with internal posts, add share copy in the popup that appears after you click Share.
3. Click Share.
4. The X share popup will appear.
5. Choose where to share the post:
   • Your Timeline: Share directly to your main feed.
6. Add share copy if desired.
7. Optional: Tag other users.
8. Click Post to X.
