Configuring the EveryoneSocial iOS App with AppConfig (EMM)
If your organization uses Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) or Mobile Device Management (MDM) to manage mobile apps, good news: EveryoneSocial for iOS is fully compatible with AppConfig!
This means IT admins can customize and secure the EveryoneSocial app experience for employees - right out of the box - by passing configuration keys through your MDM/EMM platform.
What is AppConfig?
AppConfig allows IT teams to automatically apply settings to mobile apps during deployment. For EveryoneSocial, this means you can control app behavior from the start — no need for users to manually enter settings like workspace URLs or browser preferences.
Supported AppConfig Keys
Here’s a quick reference for the configuration keys available for the iOS app:
| Key | Accepted Values | Description |
|---|---|---|
WorkspaceName |
Your EveryoneSocial sub-domain (e.g., company for company.everyonesocial.app ) |
Directs the app to your workspace automatically. Skips the manual entry and gets users straight to SSO. |
BrowserControl |
Web@Work , Workspace One , Microsoft Edge , Chrome |
Forces all external links (including SSO) to open in a specific managed browser. If not set, links open in the default browser. |
DisableCopy |
true or false (Boolean) |
When true , it disables cut, copy, and paste for all in-app text — while still allowing standard text-field behavior. |
Are These Keys Required?
Nope! EveryoneSocial will work just fine without any AppConfig keys. That said, we highly recommend setting the WorkspaceName — it makes the first-run experience much smoother for your employees by skipping the workspace setup step entirely.
Pro Tip
Even if you're only setting one key, WorkspaceName is the most impactful. It ensures a fast, seamless login process and sets your users up for success from the very first tap.
