Review Share Analytics
Share Analytics provides data on when a particular post was shared, who shared it, how many clicks and engagements were received, and if the content was branded or not. You can answer network-specific questions, such as what shared posts receive the most engagement on LinkedIn and what shares aren't performing well.
🔹 This is available on the Teams, Enterprise, and Unlimited plans.

Dashboard data and definitions
The Shares Dashboard provides a glance of share data within the assigned filters. The report will only show data if the share was made during the selected timeframe. For example, a report that pulls shares for the last 7 days will only show shares made in that time, even if shares made 8 days ago are continuing to receive engagements.
The dashboard displays the following.
- Total Shares: Number of shares made to social profiles.
- Shares by Day: Chart displaying the number of shares by date.
- Post: Title of the post.
- Date: Date the post was shared.
- Shared by: Name of the first user to share the post.
- Approved By: Name of the user who approved the post;
auto-approved
if approval wasn't required. - Shares: Number of times the share button was clicked.
- Clicks: Number of clicks the post received.
🔹Note: We track clicks for links included in a post's Share Copy and for feature links in a Link Post. It is possible for Image Posts and Video Posts to have click data if the posts had a link included in its Share Copy.
- Engagements: Number of engagements (likes and comments) the post received.
- Branded: Checked if the post is branded.
🔹Note: Each network share counts as a single share. A user who shares the same post to LinkedIn and X will have a count of 2 shares, one for LinkedIn and one for X.

Data availability
Here are the two main items to consider when expecting data to be available once an action is taken.
- Actions taken within EveryoneSocial, such as connecting a social network, are seen almost immediately in reporting.
- Actions taken outside EveryoneSocial, such as clicks and likes, are seen within 24 hours. This is because analytics runs on an Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) to format and arrange data for reporting—and it’s a scheduled process. As soon as the next day rolls around, you should see data regarding external actions.
Each report has a focus and that focus determines what data is pulled. Consider the examples below.
- Shares report pulls data for shares made during the selected timeframe. If the report was pulled for the last 7 days, then it displays data for what occurred on shares made during the last 7 days.
- Posts report pulls data for posts published to EveryoneSocial during the selected timeframe. If the report was pulled for the last 7 days, then it displays data for posts created in the last 7 days.
Using the examples, if a post was created 8 days ago and it was shared in the last 3 days, then you would see data in the Share report but not the Post report.
Report filters
Dashboard and downloadable reports will only display data that meet the selected filters and time frame.
Date, department, and location filters are available. Filters work on an "or" basis. For example, the image below shows data within the last 30 days from users in the "Engineering" Department or "Chicago.”
Remove filters by clicking the X next to a department or location or clicking Clear Filters.

Actionable items
🔹 If a trend surfaces around a topic or source of shared content that performs well, pull in more of that content and teach Moderators what’s performing well.
🔸 Identify the Groups (i.e. content topics) that the highest-performing shares come from. This gives insight into what topics tend to be most relevant so that the content marketing team can create more content around popular topics.
🔹 Identify engageable posts receiving a lot of shares so you can work with the content marketing team to drive even more traffic to these shares, work with the person sharing the content, and potentially go viral by getting lots of eyes on shares performing well.

FAQ
Why doesn't engagement data in the Shares report match the Posts report?
The Shares reports and the Posts report are looking at two different sets of data. The Posts report takes a look at a specific set of posts during a set time frame and only displays engagement data for those posts.
The Shares report, on the other hand, looks at all the shares created during a set time frame and displays the engagement data for those shares.
For example, if a post was published on February 29th, but it was shared on March 2nd, the post and its engagement data would not show on the Posts report for the dates of March 1st -March 31st, but the share created on March 2nd would show in the Shares report for the same date range.
